Ooty (short for Udhagamandalam) is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India's Tamil Nadu state. Founded as a British Raj summer resort, it retains a working steam railway line. Its 55-acre Government Botanical Garden lies on the slopes of Doddabetta Peak. Ooty, popularly known as the Queen of Hill Stations is adorned with beautiful mountains, lakes, gardens and forests all around.  I went to Ooty in 3rd time on 08.05.2024 & 09.05.2024. 1st day I visited coonoor Sub Post office. In this post office have a Permanent Pictorial Cancellation of Nilgiri Mountain train. I got this Permanent Pictorial Cancellation on Miniature sheet of Railway workshop.  Beauty of this Miniature sheet have Diesel Engine & Electric Train Engine.  Additionally i got Steam Engine PPC on this miniature sheet. My Single Sheet Exhibit  Madurai Philatelist and Numismatist Association (MAPNA) conducted 4th single sheet  exhibition on 19.05.2024 @  Sourashtra Higher secondary school Madurai.             MAPNAPEX 2024 In this exhibition 11 Junior Members & 12 Senior Members exhibited his/her Single sheet in this  competition.   Exhibition presided by Dr.M.Swamiappan , MAPNA President. The Indian Postal Department  commemorated a  Eminent Philatelists through special covers. From my collection i exhibit a few covers in this blog.  1. Late Shri Dhirumani Mehta(25.09.1925- 09.08.2020) Above special cover gifted to me by Philatelic congress of India @ Kolkata PCI Meeting in 2022 Carried Cover - image courtesy by Shri Kapile Gogari . I went to INPEX2017 National level Philatelic exhibition @ Mumbai. Railway Theme entire stamp collection was exhibited on train by Shri Mohd Mujibullah. This train Philatelic exhibition covered major cities in India in the year of 2010. I visited the exhibition on 16.04.2010 @ Madurai Railway Junction. It is a very unique Railway theme stamps exhibited on train. Nice experience to me. Thank you by C.Madhavan.
