Philatelic Journey to Kolkata on 27.01.2024 Kolkata city - PPC  Kolkata also known as Calcutta   (which was the official name until 2001). It is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of West Bengal. It lies on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, 80 km (50 mi) west of the border with Bangladesh. It is the primary financial and commercial center of eastern and northeastern India. Kolkata GPO: I went to Kolkata GPO  . In GPO building campus with Philatelic Bureau, Postal Museum & Parcel cafe. 1st i seen Philatelic Bureau. This Bureau has nice decorative arrangements with Philatelic materials. This Bureau have 9 Permanent Pictorial cancellations.   I got 9 various PPC in some postcards. Each post card i got 2 different PPC.  I  shared details of 9 PPC in below. 1.Victoria Memorial Hall https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Memorial,_Kolkata I visited Victoria Memorial Hall in out side view only with my friend on 26.01.2024( National Holiday).  

Philatelic Journey to Tiruchengcode Tiruchengode is a city and selection grade municipality located in western part of southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tiruchengcode is under the Namakal District.       It is famous for the ancient hill top Ardhanareeswarar Temple, dedicated to the unique combined male-female form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi . Also called as Madhorubagan and Ammaiyappan (mother-father). Arthanareeswara temple , also known as Thirukodimanada Chenkundrur .          This famous Arthanareeswara temple of Lord Shiva and a Goddess Parvathi combined statue of pictorial cancellation is available  in Tiruchengcode head post office. Previously I went to Tiruchengcode many times  , but not visited to this temple and also can't got this PPC in this Post office.  On 9th January 2024 i visited to this temple. That day heavy rain fall. So climate very cold and Mist was appeared. This Temple is situated in the hill, so 10 minutes traveling in the hill road 

Philatelic Journey to Madurai on 16.01.2024 Madurai is my Native District. I am living in Tirumangalam. It is a distance of 20 km away from Madurai. In Madurai have 2 PPC. One PPC is Fish on flag ( Madurai Pandian Kingdom logo was Fish )  available @ Madurai Philatelic Bureau. This Bureau is situated in Madurai HPO campus.  Another PPC is Madurai Meenakshi temple. It is available in Madurai Bazar Post office. This post office is opposite to the Meenakshi temple South tower.    I visited Madurai Philatelic Bureau & Bazar Post office with my friend Mr.Visweswaran from Aruppukottai on 16.01.2024. OverView of Madurai H.P.O Madurai Head Post office have 5 gates . 1st gate is main entrance to office Building In this entrance have Two Big Post Boxes. 1st Gate near India Post ATM  2nd gate is mini gate .
