The World Alternative Games as the name states it is an alternative to the Olympics where all unusual games takes place focusing on just fun!

We are celebrating the World Alternative Games, which takes place on a date determined by the organizers. This year, it takes place on August 28.

 The World Alternative Games is an annual event that includes thrilling, adventurous, and fun games and sports. The day is an alternative Olympics with a little less international attention and standard laws. 

This is an unusual sports event that started in 2012 at the home of the World Bog Snorkeling Championships in Llanwrtyd Wells, in Powys, Wales. The games included in the events are quirky and include the likes of Worm Charming, Chariot Racing, Bathtubbing Championships, Wife Carrying Championships, etc. So let us be a part of the next event and enjoy the unique experience.

We have always had the spirit to compete with others. It is an evolutionary trait that has been passed on to us through eons of evolution. 

Our competitive spirit has helped us achieve milestones in technology, science, art, sports, and other aspects of life. Modern sports, games, and other similar competitions can help us maintain this competitive spirit even in this modern age.

The Olympics are an event that began in Greece during the Middle Ages. It includes a wide range of sports and games, with people from every nation competing against each other for glory and medals. The Olympics have worldwide viewers and followers. But the Alternative Games thus, various alternative forms of competition have developed over time.

World Alternative Games is one such competition that has its unique style and audience. There are various forms of competitive, simple, and yet elegant games that we play with our friends occasionally. But these games do not have enough popularity or structure to be included in a mainstream event like the Olympics. But they are more than enough for World Alternative Games. Welsh towns are already famous for their unique events and peculiar sports. Llanwrtyd Wells, a small town in Powys, Wales, organized the first games in 2012. 🏆

The Indian Postal Department  commemorated a  few Eminent Philatelists through special covers. From my collection i exhibit a few covers in this blog.  1. Late Shri Dhirumani Mehta(25.09.1925- 09.08.2020) Above special cover gifted to me by Philatelic congress of India @ Kolkata PCI Meeting in 2022 Carried Cover - image courtesy by Shri Kapile Gogari . I went to INPEX2017 National level Philatelic exhibition @ Mumbai. I meet him in this exhibition and got his autograph on special exhibition cover. 2.   Shri G Balakrishna Das       ( 1933-2020)      Shri G Madhan Mohan                      Das (1923-2014) I meet Shri Balakrishna Das sir many time @ Chennai.He is very soft spoken person.  My Favourite Philatelist.  3. Philatelic Journey to Newdelhi

My Philatelic Journey to Newdelhi on 23.12.2023. 1st i visited Dak Bhawan Building. It is Postal Department Headquarters. In this building one part is a Philatelic Museum. Saturday was holiday for this museum , so I can't saw this museum. But i already visited this museum in the month of February 2023 . Philatelic Museum     Old Photo. It was taken by me. Dak Bhawan Entrance  So i just taken photo before Building main entrance gate .  Sansad Marg H.P.O In this building another part is sansad Marg Headpost office . Philatelic Bureau: In the sansad Marg Post office building inside is working of Philatelic Bureau. Very Nice decorative arrangements of Philatelic stamps photo ( Photo copy of stamps was enlarged ) hung  on the walls. Reception of Philatelic Museum  I meet Mr Pravesh Gupta @ Philatelic Bureau.
