India Postal Barcode Labels : Old Postal Barcode Label with manual details filled up Hi Dear Philatelist, I am Madhavan from Madurai,T.N. I am collecting Postal Barcode labels for the last 5 years. More then 2500 labels have been collected so far. Few Philatelist removed or chopped the affixed stamps from the Speed Post & Registered post of the envelope covers. And it's collecting under the Used stamps category. It is a one of the hobby of the Philatelist. Printing Errors on Labels I have also similar collection hobboy, but I am not only chopped the affixed stamps , Additionaly i removed/ chopped Postal Barcode labels & Receipt stickers from the registered & speed post envelope covers . The Indian Postal Department commemorated a few Eminent Philatelists through special covers. From my collection i exhibit a few covers in this blog. 1. Late Shri Dhirumani Mehta(25.09.1925- 09.08.2020) Above special cover gifted to me by Philatelic congress of India @ Kolkata PCI Meeting in 2022 Carried Cover - image courtesy by Shri Kapile Gogari . I went to INPEX2017 National level Philatelic exhibition @ Mumbai. I meet him in this exhibition and got his autograph on special exhibition cover. 2. Shri G Balakrishna Das ( 1933-2020) Shri G Madhan Mohan Das (1923-2014) I meet Shri Balakrishna Das sir many time @ Chennai.He is very soft spoken person. My Favourite Philatelist. 3. My Philatelic Journey to Newdelhi on 23.12.2023. 1st i visited Dak Bhawan Building. It is Postal Department Headquarters. In this building one part is a Philatelic Museum. Saturday was holiday for this museum , so I can't saw this museum. But i already visited this museum in the month of February 2023 . Philatelic Museum Old Photo. It was taken by me. Philatelic Bureau: In the sansad Marg Post office building inside is working of Philatelic Bureau. Very Nice decorative arrangements of Philatelic stamps photo ( Photo copy of stamps was enlarged ) hung on the walls. Reception of Philatelic Museum I meet Mr Pravesh Gupta @ Philatelic Bureau.
